How to String an Electric Guitar is a beginner video lesson by Matthias Young where you will learn how to string an electric guitar. In the video, we will use a string-through-body model Jackson guitar with a reverse headstock. On other guitars, you may just need to thread the string through the tailpiece.
It’s a good idea to change your strings around once a month to preserve good sound quality and intonation. You also should use the same string size or gauge that is currently on your guitar. If you use a different string gauge, then you will need to have your guitar set up by a technician at your local music store.
