F Blues Licks

F Blues Licks is a free blues guitar video lesson by Peter Vogl. You will learn several licks that can be played over a chord progression in F. We will use the audio backing track “F blues” which is Track 2 from the Let’s Jam! Blues and Rock CD. These licks don’t stay within one scale, but switch between Major and Minor Pentatonic as well as the Blues scale. There are many ways to approach understanding these licks. I would start by memorizing them, then associating them with the scales mentioned above to make them easy to find and play in different keys.


Let’s start by reviewing a few scales. Let’s take a look at the Fm Pentatonic Scale 1st Position.
