Jimi Hendrix Style Double Stop Lick

This free guitar lesson by Jody Worrell will look at how Jimi Hendrix used double stops as part of his iconic playing style. Throughout the lick, we’ll play a basic double stop, then hammer on to a different shape, and finally pull off to the original shape.  Jody will walk you through the mechanics of playing the lick as well as the music theory involved. The backing track moves from C to G in the first bar. The second bar covers a change from D to A before staying on E for the third bar. To learn nine more licks like this, check out the Hendrix Double Stop Licks 1 & 2 premium videos (over an hour of instruction) and 500 additional lessons during a 7 Day Free Trial of our premium membership plan.
